Professor Sheldon Evans recently spoke at the United States Sentencing Commission Roundtable on the Categorical Approach and Career Offender Guidelines. He served as a panelist with several federal judges, practitioners, and other academics as part of a roundtable about reforming particular federal sentencing enhancements. Based on his prior scholarship on the Armed Career Criminals Act, Professor Evans was able to contribute to a problem-solving discussion focusing on potential ways to rethink and reform Career Offender sentencing enhancements.
