Professor Pauline Kim Presents at U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission

Professor Pauline Kim presented AI-related risks at the March meeting of the Future of Finance Subcommittee. The subcommittee is part of the Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) that held public meetings at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Washington, D.C. headquarters. The committee is examining the potential risks that emerge in connection with the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence in global financial markets.

Professor Kim presented to the subcommittee a summary of her recent paper, “Less Discriminatory Algorithms” (co-authored with Emily Black, John Logan Koepke, Solon Barocas, and Mingwei Hsu) which is forthcoming in the Georgetown Law Journal.
