WashULaw Hosts Election Law Conference

WashULaw recently hosted its Election Law Conference at Anheuser-Busch Hall. Fifteen scholars from across the U.S. gathered to present and discuss scholarship with their peers.

Discussion topics included: Election Law and Race, Election Law after the 2020 Election, Election Law and Quantitative Methods, and Election Law and Democratic Theory. The keynote panel was moderated by WashULaw Professor Travis Crum and included presentations by Samuel Issacharoff of NYU Law on “Democracy Unmoored: Populism and the Corruption of Popular Sovereignty” and Michael Kang and Joanna Shepherd of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and Emory University School of Law respectively, on “Free to Judge: The Power of Campaign Money in Judicial Elections.”
