Milos Ivkovic

Milos Ivkovic’s practice focuses on serving as an external legal advisor to governments, state-owned entities, and international business leaders on issues of public international law, changes in national legislation and diplomatic disputes. He has been regularly and personally involved in developing peaceful strategies to promote international cooperation and the rule of law. Milos has testified as an expert witness before the U.S. Congress and has been involved in securing the release of U.S. journalists imprisoned in Africa.

Milos also has extensive experience conducting international arbitrations in a variety of industries, including mining, oil and gas, banking and finance, patent infringement, tourism, etc. His expertise includes advising host states and international investors in investor-state arbitration (e.g. under bilateral investment treaties).

Milos is committed to mentoring new generations of legal professionals. Students under his supervision have achieved significant success in leading international competitions. His academic specialties are public international law, international criminal law, human rights, and comparative civil procedure.

Milos supports various social responsibility initiatives and provides pro bono representation in international human trafficking cases. He has been actively involved in redressing significant human rights abuses in Africa and Europe, and has had the privilege of working with the U.S. Congress and political leaders around the world in this respect. Milos remains active and passionate about combating the abuse of minor children through slavery. He is a board member of the Interparliamentary Taskforce on Human Trafficking.
