Program Overview
Students in the online LLM in Taxation program will learn from faculty who are experts in tax law and bring a wealth of industry knowledge and real-world experience to the classroom. This curriculum provides students with detailed insight into tax law, including the procedural and technical aspects as well as the tools they need to solve complex tax problems and adapt to ever-changing legislation.
Curriculum
The online LLM in Taxation program at WashU Law is designed for law professionals and law school graduates who want to specialize in tax law. The curriculum prepares graduates to apply fundamental tax law concepts to a variety of real-world scenarios. In as little as 12 months, our faculty members, who are expert tax practitioners, will equip students with the tools necessary to solve intricate tax issues and adapt to evolving tax procedures and tax policies.
Degree Requirements
The program is a 24-credit program that students can complete in as little as a year. There is one required course: Federal Income Tax. LLM students will complete this course and then choose from a variety of tax electives to meet their individual career goals.
Students must maintain a cumulative 2.79 GPA.
