About Ann Davis Shields

Professor of Practice Ann Davis Shields specializes in legal writing and analysis; negotiation and mediation; pretrial practice; appellate advocacy; and civil rights and employment law. She regularly presents on issues related to legal writing, analysis, and practice skills at national conferences. Professor Shields is a certified Neutral for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. A member of the Missouri Bar, Professor Shields maintains a small private practice as a mediator specializing in employment and civil rights cases.
