About Najeebah Hussain
Najeebah Hussain joined the WashU Law Low Income Taxpayer Clinic as a Staff Attorney Fellow in 2025. She focuses her practice on representing victims of tax-related identity theft, low-income individuals with burdensome tax liability, and incarcerated taxpayers in recovery of refunds from the IRS. She also engages in community outreach presentations regarding important tax updates and individuals’ rights and responsibilities as taxpayers.
Najeebah grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and earned her B.S. In Psychology in 2018 at the University of Missouri – Columbia. She then attended Washington University School of Law, where she earned her JD in 2022. While in law school, Najeebah was involved in the WashU Law Journal of Law and Policy, the Intellectual Property Law Society, and the South Asian Law Students Association. Before joining the LITC, Najeebah began her legal career in 2022 at a large law firm in St. Louis, where she practiced class action, mass tort, and products liability litigation. As an attorney, Najeebah hopes to build a career where she can continue to help disadvantaged clients and advocate fiercely on their behalf.
In her spare time, Najeebah enjoys cooking, playing bass guitar, and spending time with her orange cat named Tuna.
