True Crime & Criminal Narratology – Ethical Innocence with Ralph Grunewald

Event Details

February 23 | 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

What is truth? Who is innocent? Ralph Grunewald, Professor of English and Legal Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, joins us to talk about his research on true crime media and criminal narratology. Through an examination of storytelling on the witness stand and social attitudes about crime, Professor Grunewald lends us his insight into the misnomer of truth and the fragility of our criminal legal system.

Ralph Grunewald, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Director of the Center for Law, Society, and Justice; Professor of English; Mellon-Morgridge Professor of the Humanities.
