Aris Woodham
Director of Educational Technology, School of Law; Lecturer in Law
As a member of the law school library’s teaching team, Aris Woodham provides legal research and reference service and training to faculty, students and other patrons of the Law Library. In her capacity as a Lecturer in Law, she teaches basic legal research methodologies to first-year law students and has taught advanced legal research to upper-level law students. She also serves on a variety of committees charged with technology management, including the University Steering Committee for the LMS transition to Canvas, and the University Libraries taskforce on the institutional digital repository. In addition to her teaching, library, and administrative duties, she has written articles about developing digital collections for law libraries as well as made presentations at conferences on: tax research on the Internet; technical aspects of digital serials; and legal research resources on the web. Before joining the law school, she worked and taught at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School, Drake University Law School, and Creighton University School of Law. She also worked for Sleeper, Johnston, Helm and Fontaine, a Waco, Texas law firm, and as a Hearings Examiner for the Texas Employment Commission in Austin, Texas. She is a member of the Texas Bar (inactive status).
