Gerrit De Geest
Charles F. Nagel Professor of International and Comparative Law
Gerrit De Geest, an internationally renowned specialist in law and economics, is the Charles F. Nagel Professor of International and Comparative Law at Washington University School of Law, where he teaches contracts, law and economics, consumer law, and seminars on contracts. He served as the director of the Center on Law, Innovation & Economic Growth. Before moving to St. Louis with his family, he was a chaired professor at the Utrecht School of Economics and president of the European Association of Law and Economics. He is the co-editor of the Encyclopedia of Law and Economics (Edward Elgar, 2000, 5 volumes).
