For Employers
Partner with WashU Law to recruit creative legal minds who bring fresh perspectives, rigorous training, and the agility to tackle complex challenges in today’s evolving legal landscape.
Recruiting and Student Engagement
WashU Law students enter law school with strong academic credentials, varied backgrounds, and diverse interests. Our mission in the Career Center is to partner with students to understand their personal interests and career goals and to create an individualized plan to help them achieve those goals. The career paths of WashU Law graduates are as diverse as our students. While many graduates will head to major U.S. legal markets, including Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., Texas, and California, our talented graduates disperse to cities across the country and the world to pursue their legal careers. The Career Center offers many opportunities for employers to engage with and recruit WashU Law students and graduates, and we are committed to partnering with employers to offer an individualized approach to engagement and recruitment that meets each employer’s specific criteria and needs.
WashU Law Equal Opportunity Recruiting Policy
WashU Law acknowledges and respects NALP’s Principles for a Fair and Ethical Recruitment Process. Each employer is free to develop specific recruiting policies and guidelines to fit their hiring objectives; however, WashU Law asks that employers recruit in an equitable manner, maintain a transparent hiring timeline, and give reasonable time periods for students to consider offers of employment.
WashU Law is committed to the principles and practices of equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or military or protected veteran status. The facilities and services of the WashU Law Career Center are available only to employers whose employment practices are consistent with this policy and are similarly non-discriminatory.
