At the ACE Annual Meeting in Buffalo, Ransom delivered her lecture, “Beyond the Measure: Legal Epidemiology, Power, and Belonging.” The lecture examined legal epidemiology, a field that uses data to study how laws and policies shape health.
The honor also carries a personal connection. Ransom was nominated by William J. Lee, JD, MS, FACE, eFACHDM, president of the American College of Epidemiology Research and Education Foundation, and one of her former interns at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Law Program.
Montrece McNeill Ransom, JD, MPH, PCC, BCC, executive director of the Cordell Institute for Policy in Medicine & Law at WashU Law, has been named this year’s American College of Epidemiology Foundation Endowed Lecturer and Award Recipient.
