The Divided Argument podcast, co-hosted by Howard and Caroline Cayne Distinguished Professor of Law Daniel Epps, has joined the podcast lineup at SCOTUSblog, expanding the site’s extensive coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court. The show will appear alongside Advisory Opinions and Amarica’s Constitution as part of SCOTUSblog’s podcast offerings.
“We are thrilled with this new partnership between Divided Argument and SCOTUSblog,” said Dean Stefanie Lindquist. “We are grateful to Dan Epps and Will Baude for creating such an impactful resource for all of us.”
Divided Argument is an unscheduled and wide-ranging Supreme Court podcast hosted by Professor Epps and Will Baude, the Harry Kalven, Jr. Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School and a prominent Supreme Court expert known for coining the phrase “shadow docket.” The show, now in its sixth season, provides in-depth discussion of the Court’s cases, with a particular emphasis on complex legal issues that do not track traditional ideological and partisan divides.
SCOTUSblog provides comprehensive coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court, including case summaries, live opinion breakdowns, and expert commentary. It is considered one of the most authoritative sources on the Supreme Court, widely relied upon by lawyers, journalists, academics, and the general public. Professor Epps is also a regular contributor to SCOTUSblog’s Interim Docket Blog.
Although each podcast will maintain its editorial and creative independence, joining the SCOTUSblog platform will allow for collaboration across shows. Hosts will appear in crossover episodes and contribute commentary during SCOTUSblog’s live blogs and coverage of major Supreme Court cases.
“I’m thrilled about this new partnership,” Professor Epps said. “SCOTUSblog is the go-to site for everyone who follows the Supreme Court. Being part of the SCOTUSblog universe will significantly expand our audience and allow us to be in conversation with the site’s network of experts.”
