WashU Law 2L Alice Na recently served as a panelist for the Public Interest Law Association’s (PILA) discussion, “Surviving the 1L,” a virtual event designed to help prospective and current law students prepare for the challenges and opportunities of their first year.
The panel featured law students from a variety of schools who offered insights into the realities of the 1L experience, discussing topics including managing coursework, preparing for exams, building professional networks, exploring career opportunities, and adjusting to the demands of law school.
PILA is a national organization dedicated to advancing justice, equity, and social change through the legal profession. The organization brings together undergraduates, law students, attorneys, and legal professionals committed to public interest work by providing mentorship, professional development, educational programming, and community-building opportunities.
