WashU Law Black Law Students Association has been named the 2025–2026 Midwest Large Chapter of the Year by the Midwest Black Law Students Association, marking the third consecutive year the chapter has earned the region’s highest honor.
The Midwest region is the largest within the National Black Law Students Association, bringing together chapters from 14 states across the central United States. WashU’s chapter stood out among all large chapters in the region for its programming, leadership, and sustained impact. Throughout the year, BLSA members organized professional development initiatives, community-building events, and programming designed to serve a wide range of interests within the law school.
The celebration extends beyond the chapter honor. 2L Daryn Rockett, who serves as president of WashU Law’s BLSA, has been elected Midwest BLSA Vice Chair for the coming year. Her election reflects her leadership within the chapter and her commitment to strengthening connections across the region.
WashU Law proudly congratulates BLSA and Daryn Rockett on this well-earned recognition and looks forward to another year of bold leadership, strong advocacy, and continued impact across the Midwest.
