WashU Law Associate Professor of Law Brenda Dvoskin has been selected as the recipient of the 2025-2026 Haub Law Emerging Scholar Award in Women, Gender & Law, presented by the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
Professor Dvoskin was recognized for her article, Safe Sex in the Age of Big Tech Feminism, co-authored with Thomas Kadri of University of Georgia School of Law, and forthcoming in the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. Dvoskin and Kadri critique what they call “Big Tech feminism,” the regulatory trend that promotes prudish and punitive regulations of online sexuality in the name of women’s safety. They propose a framework that centers autonomy and equity over social control.
Now in its fifth year, the award is selected through a blind review by members of the Pace Law faculty. This year’s judges, Professors Jessica Miles, Emily Waldman, and Bridget Crawford commended the article’s depth of analysis and clarity of writing.
Professor Dvoskin’s work continues to shape important conversations at the intersection of sexuality, privacy, and law. Please join WashU Law in congratulating Professor Dvoskin and read her paper here.
