James Carr Professor of International Criminal Law Leila Sadat has been awarded a one-year partial Transcend Initiative Grant through WashU’s Here & Next research seed funding program.
The Transcend Initiative provides infrastructure support to cross-school, interdisciplinary teams to grow the research enterprise around topics of broad societal concern and importance. Professor Sadat is part of the Center for Firearm Injury Prevention in St. Louis (CFIRST) team alongside Kristen Mueller (WUSM/SPH), Timothy McBride (SPH), and Douglas Schuerer (WUSM) addressing concerns around firearm injury.
