Professor MJ Durkee, who was recently installed as the William Gardiner Hammond Professor in Law, attended the American Society of International Law’s (ASIL) Annual Meeting in Washington DC. While there, Professor Durkee was reelected to the Board of Editors of the American Journal of International Law, the top peer-reviewed publication in the field. Additionally, as Chair of the International Legal Theory interest group, she convened and chaired a “Theory Forum” within the meeting, where scholars selected from a competitive call for papers workshopped works in progress. Professor Durkee also spoke on a panel about international legal scholarship organized by the Consortium for the Study and Analysis of International Legal Scholarship (pictured below).
Recent scholarship from Professor Durkee includes her new book, “States, Firms and Their Legal Fictions,” published by Cambridge University Press.
