Two of our beloved professors, Michael Greenfield and Daniel Mandelker, will retire this year with Emeritus status. They have each given a lifetime of service to Washington University and the School of Law.
Professor Greenfield, the George Alexander Madill Professor of Contracts & Commercial Law, has taught at the law school since 1969. An expert in commercial and consumer law, his casebooks include multiple editions of “Consumer Transactions” and “Sales: Cases and Materials.” He also wrote the treatise “Consumer Law” and has been active in committees that have revised Articles 2, 3, and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Professor Mandelker, the Howard A. Stamper Professor of Law, has taught at WashULaw since 1962, and became a renowned scholar of land use law. He coauthored the casebook “Planning and Control of Land Development: Cases and Materials,” now in its eighth edition, and also cowrote the treatise “Land Use Law” with Michael Allan Wolf.
Thank you for your decades of service!
