Three WashU Law Grads Recognized Among China’s Best Young Lawyers

WashU Law is pleased to announce that three graduates of our Master of Laws (LLM) program were named among the 30 Best Young Lawyers in China by LEGALBAND, a leading provider of market intelligence in Asia. The selected graduates are Tianyi Huang, LLM ’17, Kaiyang Ma, LLM ’17, and Yu Xiao, LLM ’16.

Tianyi Huang is a member of the network security and data team at the Huiye Law Firm, one of the largest firms in China. His practice largely focuses on matters of data compliance and data exit, with specialties in theoretical research and practical operation that help his clients prevent and respond to compliance risks.

Kaiyang Ma is an attorney at Wanshang Tianqin Law Firm, where he focuses on large-sect foreign-related commercial dispute resolution. He is particularly skilled at handling disputes in investment mergers and acquisitions, urban renewal, company equity and control.

Yu Xiao is an attorney whose practice focuses on corporate commercial and financial disputes. He has successfully represented several multinational companies in litigation or arbitration in the United States Supreme Court, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.

The fact that 10% of this prestigious list includes WashU Law alumni is a remarkable achievement and underscores the strength of our LLM program in preparing graduates to practice law on the global stage. Please join us in congratulating Tianyi Huang, Kaiyang Ma, and Yu Xiao on this well-earned recognition!
