WashU will welcome U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor for a public conversation on Wednesday, September 10 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the Field House of the Athletic Complex.
Moderated by Chancellor Andrew D. Martin, the discussion is part of the university’s Assembly Series and will focus on Justice Sotomayor’s new children’s picture book, Just Shine! How to Be a Better You. Inspired by her mother Celina’s life and dedication to helping others, the book encourages young readers to embrace kindness and service.
The event is free and open to the public, though space is limited. Advance registration is required and will close Tuesday, September 2, or when capacity is reached. Registration opens at 8:00 am on Wednesday, August 27. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of her book as well as event confirmation with details on security and parking.
