Join us for the final round of this year’s Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition this Friday, November 18th at 2:00PM in the Bryan Cave Moot Court Room (A-B Hall Room 310). All members of the WashULaw community are invited to attend.
The panel will be chaired by United States Circuit Judge (8th Cir.) Duane Benton; United States District Judge (E.D. Mo.) Sarah E. Pitlyk; and recently-selected United States Magistrate Judge (E.D. Mo.) Rodney H. Holmes. Competing in the final round will be 2Ls Jacob Cogdill & Ridge Hughbanks, who will argue for the Petitioners, and 3Ls Katherine Galvin & Gavin McGimpsey, who will argue for the Respondent.
This year’s problem focuses on standing to challenge a prayer led by an on-duty public employee, as well as whether permitting such an employee to lead a prayer violates the Establishment Clause. You may read this year’s case problem here. Good luck to participants!
