Professor Daniel Epps was recently selected as a junior scholar for the inaugural Legal Philosophy & Constitutional Theory Junior Scholars Conference at Georgetown Law. Hosted by the Georgetown Center for the Constitution in collaboration with the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics, the conference was held on March 20–21, 2025.
The highly selective conference received over 150 submissions, which underwent a rigorous evaluation process by a blind panel of experts. The final selection included some of the most promising emerging voices in legal philosophy and constitutional theory. Epps’s recent paper, “Justifying the Fourth Amendment,” was chosen for presentation and later received commentary from Josh Chafetz, Agnes Williams Sesquicentennial Professor of Law and Politics at Georgetown Law.
Epps is a renowned scholar in constitutional law and criminal procedure and brought a wealth of expertise to the conference. His scholarship explores the structure of the Supreme Court, judicial decision-making, and criminal procedure.
