The American Constitution Society has named the WashU Law ACS Student Chapter its 2026 Student Chapter of the Year, recognizing the organization’s leadership, programming, and service throughout the academic year.
The honor is awarded annually to the chapter that best advances ACS’s mission and goals. In addition to the national recognition, WashU Law’s chapter also earned an ACS Programming Award, presented to chapters demonstrating exceptional engagement and activity.
Throughout the year, the WashU Law ACS chapter organized programs focused on career development, clerkships, foreign affairs, antitrust law, employment discrimination, local democracy, and immigration. Members also expanded the chapter’s community engagement efforts, including work with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, which brought local high school students to campus for a day of constitutional law programming and competition.
The chapter also received national recognition for rising 3L Matthew Snyder, who was selected as part of ACS’s 2026 class of Next Generation Leaders for his leadership and contributions to the organization.
The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy has a diverse nationwide network that includes nearly 250 student and lawyer chapters, students, judges, scholars, elected officials, and advocates.
Congratulations to the WashU Law ACS student leaders, members, and faculty mentors Greg Magarian and Karen Tokarz for a remarkable year of advocacy, programming, and service.
WashU Law students will be recognized for the awards at the upcoming ACS National Convention, scheduled for June 18–20 in Washington, D.C.
