WashU Law’s 3L Admissions Ambassadors play an important role in welcoming prospective students and helping them envision their future at the law school. Through campus tours, conversations, and one-on-one connections, these students offer firsthand insight into the WashU Law experience while guiding prospective students through the admissions journey.

What has your favorite class been at WashU Law?
Constitutional Law with Professor Magarian.
What do you love about St. Louis?
The parks, the food, the vast small business landscape, the history, and the people I have met.
What’s your best advice to prospective students?
Take the time to identify your non-negotiables and a work rhythm that is sustainable. Law school requires a lot of hard work, so it is important to keep in mind the activities and habits that make you feel human. Whether that is working out, taking walks, playing recreational sports, creating art, reading for leisure, or spending time with your faith/spiritual community, investing time in these things is worthwhile and will help you succeed while protecting yourself from burnout. Your studies are important, but not your whole life.

What has your favorite class been at WashU Law?
The Law and Economics seminar has been my favorite class. We read draft papers from scholars around the country who travel to WashU to present their research to our class. We have the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions, which is unlike any class I’ve taken before.
What do you love about St. Louis?
In addition to fantastic food, tons of parks, and great neighborhoods, St. Louis has a great community. I think WashU’s location in STL contributes to the great culture at the law school. It’s a great city to attend law school in.
What’s your best advice to prospective students?
Throughout the admissions process and law school, treat everyone you encounter with respect. You will interact with these people throughout your entire legal career. They will become judges, prosecutors, politicians, business leaders, and more. The legal community is smaller than you might think, and your reputation will follow you throughout your career.
