
WashU Law announces the appointment of its inaugural AI Advisory Board, a distinguished group of leaders from the judiciary, legal practice, technology, and academia. The Board reflects WashU Law’s growing national leadership in legal innovation and its commitment to advancing the study and practice of law in the age of artificial intelligence.
The AI Advisory Board brings together an extraordinary cohort of judges, chief information officers, law firm partners, technology entrepreneurs, and scholars from across the country. Together, they will provide strategic legal tech counsel to the law school, strengthen connections between theory and practice, and help ensure that WashU Law remains at the forefront of AI-driven change in the legal profession.

Since joining the ranks of the nation’s Top 14 law schools, WashU Law has launched several major initiatives at the cutting edge of law and technology, including:
- The WashU Law AI Collaborative, a research and leadership hub co-directed by Ryan Durrie and Oliver Roberts;
- Artificial Intelligence and the Practice of Law, one of the nation’s first law school courses dedicated to AI’s impact on legal practice;
- The Pre-Law Summer Program on AI & the Future of Law, preparing the next generation of legal leaders;
- The Legal AI Demo Day series, showcasing innovations from leading legal technology companies; and
- The Legal Tech Sandbox, connecting students and alumni with hands-on experiences in emerging AI tools.
- Legal Tech Weeks, a series of events where students, scholars, and legal professionals learn more about legal technology, entrepreneurship, and the transformative role of AI in the practice of law.
The Advisory Board will meet quarterly with the Dean and WashU Law’s AI leadership team to provide guidance and identify opportunities for innovation. Members will also participate in exclusive events, strengthening WashU Law’s role as a national hub for legal technology discourse and advancement.
