Ellie Richmond began practicing in Lewis Rice’s Litigation Department following her graduation from WashU Law. In law school, she was a member of The Journal of Law and Policy, the Women’s Law Caucus, and the Labor and Employment Society.
Austin Schorfheide (2024)
As a student at WashU Law, Austin Schorfheide served as staff and executive editor for Volumes 100 and 101 for the Washington University Law Review. He is practicing in Lewis Rice’s Estate Planning Department and remains involved in his family’s farm in southern Illinois.
Cale Bouchey (2023)
Carmody MacDonald P.C. welcomes Cale C. Bouchey as an attorney in the firm’s business/transactional group. He interned at the Missouri State Public Defender office while in law school. Cale received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Washington University School of Law after an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California
Sangki Park (2023)
Sangki Park, has been elevated to Principal at Fish & Richardson. Sangki Park provides counsel on litigation and patent procurement and handles post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Sangki has extensive experience in diverse technical areas, including telecommunications, networking and network security, semiconductors, and display technologies, among others. Sangki received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and graduated from Seoul National University with a B.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering.

Before he first joined Lewis Rice in 2023, he served as a clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. As a student at WashU Law, Carter was senior editor of the Washington University Law Review.

Unlike a traditional initial public offering, Spotify did not offer any new shares and there were no underwriters.

Courtney Harrison (2016)
Stinson LLP has elected Courtney Harrison to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2024. Harrison handles complex and high-stakes consumer class action litigation. She has a sophisticated e-discovery practice and utilizes her knowledge and experience to efficiently manage the collection and production of documents for a variety of complex matters, including class actions, trade secret disputes, antitrust cases and product liability lawsuits. She provides pro bono legal services to victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking, guiding them through a legal system that often prevents survivors from accessing justice. Harrison earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. Stinson’s 2024 new partner class spans four of the firm’s 13 office locations. Harrison is one of the firm’s six newly elected partners.

Married Kirsten Milliard on October 26, 2019. Jesus A. Osete recently completed clerkships with the Honorable Bobby E. Shepherd of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Honorable Zel M. Fischer, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Osete was also one of twelve selected to the 2019-2020 class of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy. He was nominated by former Chief Justice Zel M. Fischer of the Supreme Court of Missouri.

James Robertson (1975)
In 2023 the Yale Law Journal and in 2024 the Harvard Law Review selected him to evaluate submissions addressing prison law. The author of more than 180 published papers on prison law, Robertson is presently a contributing editor of West’s Criminal Law Bulletin and the Correctional Law Reporter. He is Distinguished Faculty Scholar and Professor of Corrections Emeritus, Minnesota State University.
Donald G. Tye (1975)
Donald G. Tye was appointed a hearing officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers; published the third edition of How to Try Divorce Cases in Massachusetts (MCLE); and was the plenary session speaker at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Mark E Goodman (1972)
Mark E. Goodman has been named to the 2017 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs, and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs. Goodman is co-chair of the Litigation Group at Capes Sokol Goodman & Sarachan PC in St. Louis.
Alan M Hux (1972)
Alan M. Hux was honored with the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum’s (ICLEF) highest award of recognition, the Excellence in Continuing Legal Education Award. Hux is a member of the Business & Finance and Real Estate practice groups at the Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP office in Indianapolis. He provides a variety of legal services for utilities, concentrating on assisting landowners in the formation and utilization of conservancy districts. He also serves on the ICLEF Board of Directors.
Thomas G. Lewin (1972)
Thomas G. Lewin, a shareholder at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale PC, was named Best Corporate Lawyer in St. Louis by Best Lawyers of America. Lewin has been named a Best Lawyer for the past 10 years.
Judge Richard P. Goldenhersh (1969)
Judge Richard P. Goldenhersh has joined the Mediation and Senior Arbitrator panels of United States Arbitration & Mediation (USA&M), the leading provider of mediation and arbitration services in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Judge Goldenhersh was a justice with the Illinois Appellate Court – 5th District for 30 years, as well as a Circuit Court judge and Associate Circut Court Judge in St. Clair County, Illinois.
Maury Poscover (1969)
Maury Poscover, senior counsel at Husch Blackwell LLP, received the Homer Kripke Achievement Award at the 2015 Annual Meeting and Dinner of the Fellows of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers in San Francisco. The award recognizes a career of noteworthy leadership and a history of exceptional dedication to the improvement of commercial finance law and practice.
Mark D. Seigel (1969)
The Hon. Mark D. Seigel, former St. Louis County Circuit judge, joined the mediation panel at the United States Arbitration & Mediation (USA&M), a leading provider of mediation and arbitration services.
Richard M. Minkoff (1968)
Richard Minkoff is a retired attorney-screenwriter.
George Fitzsimmons (1967)
George L. Fitzsimmons has been named to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in civil and commercial conflict resolution, and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution. Fitzsimmons has been self-employed as an arbitrator, special master, and mediator since 1999 at George L. Fitzsimmons LLC in St. Louis. Before that, he worked for more than 20 years in the defense of civil litigation matters and for 11 years on complex plaintiff’s civil litigation.
Bill Roberts (1967)
Bill Roberts has been appointed a commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission. Roberts is a managing partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in Chicago and concentrates his practice in complex civil and criminal litigation.
Charles Marshall Friedman (1965)
Charles Marshall Friedman (“Marshall”), a renowned trial attorney, community leader, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 84, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Marshall was known for his tireless legal advocacy, integrity, energy and warmth. He left an indelible mark on both the St. Louis legal community and Jewish community. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 1st at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery-7500 Olive Blvd.
Joel Kunin (1962)
Joel Kunin has joined Goldenberg Heller & Antognoli PC in Edwardsville, Illinois, as of counsel. Kunin has extensive experience in bankruptcy law, commercial law, and debtor and creditor rights law. He previously worked at Kunin Law Offices LLC in Collinsville, Illinois.
Arthur S Margulis (1958)
Arthur S. Margulis has been named to the 2017 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Criminal Defense: General Practice and Criminal Defense: White-Collar. Margulis is of counsel at Capes Sokol Goodman & Sarachan PC in St. Louis. He has received the honor for 11 consecutive years.
Ronald L. Aylward (1954)
My dad, Ronald L. Aylward, passed away at the age of 94 in January 2025. He had been a member of the WashU Law Class of 1954 (also did undergrad at WashU). My dad cherished his WashU education. While there, he was on the Law Quarterly editorial board, President of the student body and Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and one of the founders of the Catholic Student Center. He and my mother enjoyed keeping involved with the law school alumni activities and reunions over the years.
