Congratulations to WashULaw alum Elizabeth McDonald, JD ’09, who was recognized with a 2023 Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service! This is the second-highest honor an attorney can receive from the Department of Justice, and McDonald was selected from more than 800 nominees.
McDonald is currently Deputy Chief of the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. She led the trial team in United States v. Florida, landmark litigation that will provide a legal benchmark in support of children with disabilities throughout the United States.
