Congratulations to Professors Kim Thuy Seelinger and Katie Meyer, and their co-PI Julia Lopez of the School of Medicine. Their project “Asylum Support Initiative: Providing forensic evaluations through a community-academic partnership” was awarded a Tier 2: Interdisciplinary Project Grant in the Fall 2023 Here & Next Seed Grant Program.
In keeping with the vision of the strategic plan, awardees’ research must address key areas within Here & Next: Public Health, Environmental Research, Digital Transformation, Global Research, and Studies Impacting the St. Louis Community. Through these awards, WashU emphasizes that research efforts will be centered on societal impact, and it is a priority to invest in the research culture of our future: team science and interdisciplinary collaboration.
